This Privacy Policy describes how Relevant Ads, Inc., a California corporation doing business as Wisp.net (“Wisp,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information in connection with our website (wisp.net) and our Internet, VoIP, SMS/MMS, AI phone reception, static IP, managed Wi-Fi, and related services (the “Services”).
Our principal place of business is:
10175 1/8 Slater Ave #150
Fountain Valley, CA 92708
By using our website or Services, you acknowledge the practices described in this Policy. For the contractual terms governing the Services, see our Terms of Service.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information in the following categories:
1.1 Information You Provide
- Account and contact details (name, email, phone number, service address, billing address).
- Payment and billing information (processed by our payment processors; we do not store full card numbers on our systems in the ordinary course).
- Support communications, tickets, and correspondence.
- Information submitted through forms, surveys, or account settings.
- Authentication data when you use OAuth or single sign-on (SSO) providers (we receive limited profile and identifier information necessary to create or link your account).
1.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Service usage data: bandwidth and traffic statistics, connection logs, IP addresses assigned to you, device identifiers (e.g., MAC addresses of customer-premises equipment), and similar network telemetry needed to operate, secure, and bill the Services.
- Telephony and messaging metadata: call detail records (CDRs), message metadata (timestamps, originating/terminating numbers, message size/type), and related records required for interconnection, billing, troubleshooting, and legal compliance. We do not routinely store the full content of SMS/MMS messages longer than necessary for delivery and legitimate operational purposes.
- Website and application data: IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited, referring/exit pages, and timestamps.
- Cookies and similar technologies (see Section 4).
1.3 Information from Third Parties
We may receive information from payment processors, upstream carriers and interconnect partners (for voice and messaging delivery), identity providers (OAuth/SSO), and publicly available sources as needed to provide or protect the Services.
2. How We Use Information
We use personal information to:
- Provide, operate, maintain, and improve the Services (including authentication, routing, interconnection, and AI phone reception features).
- Process payments, billing, and account management.
- Provide customer support and respond to inquiries.
- Monitor, detect, and prevent fraud, abuse, network security threats, and violations of our Terms of Service (including SMS/messaging abuse).
- Comply with legal, regulatory, and carrier obligations (including our status as an FCC Form 499 filer and telecommunications provider).
- Send service-related notices (outages, billing, policy updates). Marketing communications, if any, will be sent only with appropriate consent and will include opt-out mechanisms. We do not spam.
- Analyze usage (including via Google Analytics) to improve performance and user experience.
- Enforce our agreements and protect our rights, users, and the public.
3. How We Share Information
We never sell personal information.
We may share information in these limited circumstances:
- Service providers and processors — payment processors, cloud infrastructure, analytics (Google Analytics), customer-support tools, and similar vendors who process data on our behalf under contractual obligations to protect it.
- Upstream carriers and interconnect partners — necessary to deliver voice calls, SMS/MMS, and related communications across the public telephone and messaging networks.
- Legal and safety — when required by law, subpoena, court order, or other legal process; to protect the rights, property, or safety of Wisp, our customers, or the public; or in connection with an investigation of suspected fraud or Terms violations.
- Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate confidentiality protections.
- With your direction or consent — when you authorize additional sharing.
We do not share Customer Proprietary Network Information (CPNI) except as permitted by applicable FCC rules or with your approval.
4. Cookies, Analytics, and Similar Technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies on our website for:
- Essential functions (session management, authentication, security).
- Analytics (including Google Analytics) to understand how visitors use the site and to improve it.
- Preferences and performance.
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling certain cookies may affect site functionality. Google Analytics may collect data subject to Google’s own privacy practices; we configure it in a manner consistent with our policies.
When you use OAuth/SSO, the identity provider’s privacy policy also applies to the information they collect and share with us.
5. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide the Services, comply with legal and regulatory obligations (including telecommunications record-keeping requirements), resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Usage logs, CDRs, and messaging metadata are generally retained for operational, billing, and compliance periods and then deleted or anonymized according to our retention schedules. You may request deletion subject to legal retention requirements (see Section 7).
6. Security
We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and for securing devices and networks under your control.
7. Your Rights and Choices (California and General)
Depending on your location and applicable law (including the California Consumer Privacy Act / California Privacy Rights Act), you may have rights to:
- Know / access the personal information we hold about you.
- Request deletion of personal information (subject to legal exceptions, such as required retention of billing or network records).
- Correct inaccurate personal information.
- Opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information — we do not sell personal information.
- Limit the use of sensitive personal information where applicable.
- Non-discrimination for exercising your rights.
To exercise these rights, contact us at [email protected]. We will verify your request and respond as required by law. Authorized agents may submit requests subject to verification.
You may also opt out of non-essential marketing emails by using the unsubscribe link in those messages. Service-related and transactional messages are necessary for the Services and are not subject to the same opt-out.
8. Children’s Privacy
Our Services are not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 where applicable). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have collected such information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
9. International Users
Our Services are primarily offered in the United States. If you access the Services from outside the U.S., you understand that information may be processed in the United States, which may have different data-protection rules than your jurisdiction.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised version and update the “Last Updated” date. Material changes will be communicated by reasonable means. Continued use of the website or Services after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
